Miss Misfit

So ya you failed,
Couldn't strangle me long enough.
The walls of your norms couldn't
Nail me long enough.
After all the ail,I thought
You'd let me sail.
But no!
You spewed your insecurity out,
From a mouth under layers of grit,
"You are a misfit ..misfit!"
Alas! I found my word from a dim wit.
All the sneers and jeers left behind,
But a 'misfit' by my side.
Now here I am forlorn with a misfit in my bag.
Nobody will come if I shriek, groan or drag.
So be it...
I shrieked,I groaned,I dragged like a misfit.
Dragged forward just forward
As this misfit isn't a coward.
Now not a friend,a daughter,a sister,a cit
Am free being a misfit.
So I moved bit by bit.
An asylum I stumbled upon,
Stared at its gate on and on.
I saw that asylum became my body,
Where gits of normalcy moved hastily.
In a blink of an eye I came back to where I sit.
The skin of normalcy peeled off me.
With twigs,rebels, flowers & dreams,
I knitted a tiara simply lit.
Wore it because no shit!
I am... Miss.Misfit.
