You live for years and then in the end you die. What really happens after death? Nobody knows. Some say good ones go to heaven and bad ones to hell. If you are a Bollywood fan, you may think of reincarnation so as to avenge the killing of your loved one as in Karan-Arjun. But I don’t believe in this all.


I believe, in this world only few live, and they go on to live forever after their death.  John Lennon Quoted – “And we all shine on like moon and like stars and like the sun.”   We all are born for a reason and have capability to shine. All we have to do is live a worthy life and shine forever.  But only few shine forever like Mahatma Gandhi, Michael Jackson and Abraham Lincoln etc.


All those people believed in themselves. They set an example through their life. And even after their death they are still alive. They are alive through their work, they are alive through their ideology. Death is the destination we all share no matter how rich or poor we are. But it’s your journey that matters in the end.

The Serpentine Lanes of Varanasi

V aranasi, a holy city, is popular for the presence of its long stretch of beautiful ghats, temples, holy river Ganges, its indigenous cuisine, and the list goes on. But the main attraction for me is the  'gullies'  of Varanasi; narrow alleyways between tall stone buildings in the old part of the city. The world inside these gullies is enormous and beautiful in its own way.  One day I got an opportunity to take a journey inside the gullies with the help of Walks of Varanasi. The journey was from Nai Sarak, to Dashswamedh Ghat. In between we passed through colorful and scintillating markets of Varanasi along the serpentine lanes. As you enter the lane you see several stores, which have been there for several decades. Moving forward one can observe the transition from garment market to jewelry market to kite market to artifact market and many more.
