Don't worry mother,
I know the world is full of others,
I will be okay, just believe me,
For now I have to create my own glee,
The shackles of doubt have held me long enough,
No! not any more will I give in,
Let me go and feel freedom,faith,love and gin,
For I will bear all my deeds,good or bad
Don't worry mother,also tell dad
I will have you wherever I go,
Your teachings and upbringing will always show,
Believe me oh! mother just look further,
I know you care, pain to me is your nightmare,
But the same protectiveness will become my in-activeness,
Let me go and learn,
I will fail,fall and life will churn,
But don't worry mother,
I will be strong, confident, which is what I will earn,
A life so limited,so protected is not what I yearn,
Just believe me,I don't wanna die before death and mourn,
The day I will be home,
I promise you will be a proud mom,
The scars you will see will be the fears I smashed,
By then will have I accepted myself totally unabashed,
The glow and bloom in my eyes,
will attract contentment and butterflies.

The Serpentine Lanes of Varanasi

V aranasi, a holy city, is popular for the presence of its long stretch of beautiful ghats, temples, holy river Ganges, its indigenous cuisine, and the list goes on. But the main attraction for me is the  'gullies'  of Varanasi; narrow alleyways between tall stone buildings in the old part of the city. The world inside these gullies is enormous and beautiful in its own way.  One day I got an opportunity to take a journey inside the gullies with the help of Walks of Varanasi. The journey was from Nai Sarak, to Dashswamedh Ghat. In between we passed through colorful and scintillating markets of Varanasi along the serpentine lanes. As you enter the lane you see several stores, which have been there for several decades. Moving forward one can observe the transition from garment market to jewelry market to kite market to artifact market and many more.
