Happy Women's Day

Oh yes I am wise
But it's wisdom born of pain
Yes, I've paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman.

The aforesaid lines gives just a peek into an existence that constitutes the half of the world’s population and is the reason behind the other half to exist.

From the role of kitchen keepers to the top leaders of the world, they have covered a journey so vast and vibrant that it can’t be contained in a few words. She is a mother, a sister, a teacher and above all a support that has walked us through every thick and thin we have faced in our lives.

As of today, women have proved themselves to be extremely capable and have distinguished themselves from the image of a housewife. Their ability and talent has created a social scenario which demands their presence in all fields to be perfect in every sense of the word and earning a respectable credit for their outstanding achievements. But mind you people, overcoming the social barriers wasn't that easy of a shot for them.

There are still people who believe their place to be restricted to the household boundaries. The ones who have a stereotypical mind set which doesn’t let them see beyond their short sighted purview about the female part of the society. That’s why its even more amazing and worth the applause to see the rising status of women in the society. They don’t have to ask for anything anymore, for they are self capable of getting every need of theirs fulfilled on their own. All she needs is a platform where she can show the magnitude of her wisdom, knowledge and power. And once she gets that chance, there is no looking back for her. MOTHER TERESA, INDIRA GANDHI, BENAZIR BHUTTO, OPRAH WINFREY, MALALA YOUSAFZAI are amongst the many women who came up as an inspiration to the whole world. Their impact on humanity has been so deep that it has gained respect and honour for the all women across the world.

From running families to running nations. She fights and wins her own battles now. And not just their own success, they are also a major part of the success of those whose life they affect. Maybe that’s why they say ,”behind every successful man, there is a women”.

But not everything is as glittery as it looks. Peculiar is the human nature. Where they are reaching the successful skies and stands second to none, there still are so many who are still suffering the bitter mentality of the society. Craving for respect, safety, recognition- a VOICE. Trying very hard survive the gender discrimination, exploitation, violence and suppression that’s holding them back.

A long distance they have already covered and still there is a long way to go for women. But one thing that’s dead certain is they will overcome this darkness too and will rise above with an even stronger persona which will be dazzling enough for the world to know there’s nothing she cant accomplish.
